Hello!

Yes, it has been a while since I posted on my blog, but let me assure you I am still out here and continuing to create. My lack of posts was by design and also by accident you will soon find out.

2025 started out with a bustle of joyous activity, with new Blossom Collection into Keith

Jack Studio and Gallery installed in February. Participation in the Art and Found in March, giving away art

for free. In April, Whistler Anonymous Art Show-So really, where were the 3 Bears.

July my piece from my new collection Dancing through Life, juried into the Figures & Faces Group Exhibition at the fabulous CityScapes Community Art Space. In August along with one other artist my Navigating through the Storms, a collection of how we can learn from nature in responding to our own storms, juried into Art in the Community Program exhibition at Centennial Theater and is showing from from September to February 2026.

All while continuing to master my craft with participation in Mastrius Mentorship Programs, creating commissioned pieces, practicing my yoga, running 5k races and spending time with my hubby, beautiful family and blessed with my granddaughter Charleigh and furry friend Ella, my doggy.

The Accident happened September 2nd on a trail that I have travelled up and down hundreds of times with Ella. While navigating up the narrow steep rocky path I tripped. Down I went into FALL, sticking my right arm out to protect my head. Instantly it felt like my arm was removed from my body, I banged my head, quickly feeling it for signs of bleeding...thank goodness none. I looked up at Ella staring down at me. I was able to grab my phone and call 911.

The Fire Department and Emergency Health Services where able to find me. I have to say the team was excellent, giving me laughing gas on the way to emergency and trying to make me as comfortable as possible. ER at Lions Gate Hospital was amazing, they put up with my swearing and asking them WHY CAN YOU NOT KNOCK ME OUT! I am sure they were having a laugh saying...listen to this one. After 5 hours of back and forth from my room giving me pain management meds to x-ray and CT Scan the verdict came in.

The good news Terri, you do not have a bleed or concussion, the not so great, you have done a dandy fracture to your dominate not so funny humerus. Do you want to stay in the hospital for pain management, or you can go home. Oh ya, you cannot sleep lying down, you have to sleep sitting up for the next 2 months or so. What am I...a horse. I chose the later to recover at home because...I have an Art Show coming up, I have to create.

How did I respond to this accident, I painted with my non dominate hand, there was nothing Left for me to do. The second day of recovery I started to paint and have continued each day. It is my way to stay connected to my craft, help my healing, and truly appreciate all the well wishes for a speedy recovery. I quickly contacted the Gallery where I was to have a new collection introduced for the first of October and was able to put in my complete Dancing Through Life collection. I appreciate my discipline in setting goals and that this work was completed. The Gallery was graciously understanding, happy to have the Dancing through Life collection along with some of my Left hand painted cards for the opening reception.

Left hand painting has given me new insight into my creativity. An uninhibited, freedom and letting go of control. I now dedicate my Thursdays to my Left hand card painting. Donations are made to North Shore Black Bear Society, SPCA and the Legion with each sale of these cards. These images are just a sample of the several close to 100 individual images created.

Around the corner coming up really fast...

NORTH VAN ARTS ANNUAL FUNDRAISER November 28-December 14, 2025

You got to visit on line or in person. Amazing art for when purchased supports art in our community. I have 3 pieces in this show that I am thrilled. Each year since 2023 I have sold out.

2025 is winding down, however I think a lot of us are winding up with the holiday activities. Enjoy this time with family and friends and YOURSELF. Give yourself permission to sit, reflect and relax between those moments of celebration of being alive!

I will see you at Keith Jack Studio and Gallery!
