Soccer is just beginning!

While on the eve of the medal games a big congratulations to all 48 teams that participated. All teams and countries should be proud of their players and their fans along with the host countries and cities for putting on such a world class show. The amount of coordination to pull this World Cup off has to be commended for greater participation, participation and enthusiasm at the actual game if lucky enough, the viewing parties and even in the comfort of your own home.

I myself have never watched so much soccer and now looking forward to cheering on our local Vancouver White Caps until the next World Cup in 4 years. I stand corrected, I did watch a ton of soccer in the week day practices and the week-end games and tournaments which many were in torrential downpours and even snow with our 2 sons from age 5 into their teens. It was a great way to have energy burned, interaction with others, learning fair play and us devoted parents, grandparents and friends all having a good laugh on the sidelines. Yes, Thank-You to all the volunteers that coached our kids!

Early January I was inspired about Canada being one of the Host Countries for the 2026 World Cup and decided I would do some research about the actual soccer ball. The soccer ball being one of the key instruments to the art of the game. So my collection of 5 paintings on 14 x 14 x 1.5" Gallery Wrapped Canvas and are Archival were created. On the back of each painting I have written out facts about how the ball was made, where it was made, what year, field, city, country the Final Match played, what countries played and the outcome.
