Inspired by the dance form in the 1960s that took the world by storm. Influenced by the African American cultures and style of dance, with low bent knees and swaying of the hips created a stir. The Catholic schools in New York state where the diocese deemed the dance lewd and un-Christian even though it was one of the first dances being performed where dancers were apart, was banned. However, the music scene by the likes of Chubby Checker and the Beatles to name a few launched the twist in popularity influencing fashion and culture around the globe. Yes, I remember as a very young girl with healthy knees, doing the twist!

Shipping Policy
Care has been put into the painting you purchased and we want to make sure when shipped it is cared for. Shipping cost will be added to the cost of the painting at time of purchase. All packages are shipped via FedEx and will be sent out as soon as possible. You will receive an email with shipping details after your package has been shipped. I am not responsible for any additional charges (e.g. duty tax at the border) after the package has been shipped.
As per FedEX and Canada Post policy, a package is considered lost after 6 weeks. If the package is not located during this period, you will receive a full refund.
If you prefer your item be shipped via a private courier, please complete your purchase and then email TerriConnelly@paintingsbytewc.com with your preferred shipper. All incremental costs will be incurred by the purchaser.

Return Policy
All artwork is non-refundable except in the case of damage incurred during shipping. If your artwork arrives damaged, please email TerriConnelly@paintingsbytewc.com within 3 days of receiving your package. Please keep all packaging as photos may be requested.
