This painting has been inspired by my youth, wearing our kilts and dancing around the house like we were in the Scottish Highlands listening to the whine of the bagpipes. The history of the Scottish Sword Dance going back to the 13th century is that is was once used to select the warriors that would go to the battlefield based on their agility, speed and stamina of foot work while dancing over the swords. It then was performed as a celebration dance for being victorious in the battle. This dance was performed by men originally but now performed primarily by women. The tartans worn in this painting are that of the Jack and Keith clans.

Care has been put into the painting you purchased and we want to make sure when shipped it is cared for. Shipping cost will be added to the cost of the painting at time of purchase. All packages are shipped via FedEx and will be sent out as soon as possible. You will receive an email with shipping details after your package has been shipped. I am not responsible for any additional charges (e.g. duty tax at the border) after the package has been shipped.
As per FedEX and Canada Post policy, a package is considered lost after 6 weeks. If the package is not located during this period, you will receive a full refund.
If you prefer your item be shipped via a private courier, please complete your purchase and then email TerriConnelly@paintingsbytewc.com with your preferred shipper. All incremental costs will be incurred by the purchaser.

Return Policy
All artwork is non-refundable except in the case of damage incurred during shipping. If your artwork arrives damaged, please email TerriConnelly@paintingsbytewc.com within 3 days of receiving your package. Please keep all packaging as photos may be requested.
