This painting has been inspired by the 2026 World Cup Soccer Tournament. I decided to do some research on the history of the soccer balls, how they were constructed, who made them and what final world cup game did they appear. The Allen ball constructed of 32 panels of cowhide stitched up with cotton string was made in France by Coupe du Monde and played in the 1938 World Cup with the match between Italy 4 and 2 over Hungry. The game was played at a Stadium just outside of Paris, France. The third World Cup game to be played and last before WWII. The one inch border around the painting represents the trophy Jules Rimet Trophy known as Victory and was made of gold plated over silver. The ball size in the painting is the actual size of the world cup ball referred to as size 5 8.6 to 9 inches in diameter. The interior of the painting inside the border represents One Foot.

Care has been put into the artwork you purchased and we want to make sure when shipped it is cared for. Shipping cost will be added to the cost of the painting at time of purchase. All packages are shipped via FedEx and will be sent out as soon as possible. You will receive an email with shipping details after your package has been shipped. I am not responsible for any additional charges (e.g. duty tax at the border) after the package has been shipped.
As per FedEx and Canada Post policy, a package is considered lost after 6 weeks. If the package is not located during this period, you will receive a full refund.

Return Policy
All artwork is non-refundable except in the case of damage incurred during shipping. If your artwork arrives damaged, please email TerriConnelly@paintingsbytewc.com within 3 days of receiving your package. Please keep all packaging as photos may be requested.
