This painting has been inspired by the 2026 World Cup Soccer tournament. I decided to do some research on the history of the soccer balls, how they were constructed, who made them and in this painting what the final world cup game ball will appear at the Met Stadium in New York on Sunday July 19, 2026. The ball Adidas TriOnda is symbolic of 3 Nations hosting the cup for the first time. Onda meaning wave in Spanish and the colours representing the 3 host countries Canada, Mexico and US. For the first time the World Cup has moved from 32 teams to 48 in the tournament. Mexico hosting the Cup for the 3rd time and Canada hosting for the first time. An aerodynamic construction of textured polyurethan surface and an integrated 500Hz motion-sensor chip for semi-automated offside technology. Canada's mascot is the Moose, symbolizing the beauty of our wilderness, resilience and strength. I would add a great sense of humour! The one inch border around the painting represents the solid gold trophy known as the FIFA World Cup Trophy. The ball size in the painting is the actual size of the world cup ball referred to as size 5 8.6 to 9 inches in diameter. The interior of the painting inside the border represents One Foot.

Shipping Policy
Care has been put into the artwork you purchased and we want to make sure when shipped it is cared for. Shipping cost will be added to the cost of the painting at time of purchase. All packages are shipped via FedEx and will be sent out as soon as possible. You will receive an email with shipping details after your package has been shipped. I am not responsible for any additional charges (e.g. duty tax at the border) after the package has been shipped.
As per FedEx and Canada Post policy, a package is considered lost after 6 weeks. If the package is not located during this period, you will receive a full refund.

Return Policy
All artwork is non-refundable except in the case of damage incurred during shipping. If your artwork arrives damaged, please email TerriConnelly@paintingsbytewc.com within 3 days of receiving your package. Please keep all packaging as photos may be requested.
