Why feet?

I was asked recently why did I paint feet? Well, when I think of summer and want to project a feeling of summer the first thing that came to me was my feet. Being able to walk in bare feet, that sense of freedom and the feeling of the sand under the arches as the water pulls away, the tickle of the grass and soft clover and the icy water of the creek flowing over my feet while I keep my balance on the rocks. It is kind of soulful with my feet grounded and letting my imagination take me there. My wish is the feet paintings provoke memories that put a smile on your face.
